Unlocking the Power of ChatGPT 4.0

Guide Overview:

ChatGPT 4.0 offers a suite of capabilities for generating data visualizations, making it an indispensable tool for humanitarian data analysts. Here’s a snapshot of what you can do:

  • Accessing ChatGPT 4.0:

    • Visit ChatGPT

    • Ensure GPT 4.0 is selected for your session.

  • Generating Visualizations: Simply input a prompt to generate various types of charts. For example:

    • Line Plot: "Generate a line plot to track changes over time for the number of aid deliveries."

    • Bar Chart: "Generate a bar chart to compare aid distributed by region."

    • Heat Map: "Create a heat map to visualize areas of high need."

Types of Charts You Can Generate:

  • Pie Chart: Show proportions of a whole (e.g., gender distribution of beneficiaries).

  • Bar Chart: Compare quantities across categories (e.g., aid distributed by region).

  • Line Chart: Track changes over time (e.g., number of aid deliveries).

  • Histogram: Show the distribution of data (e.g., ages of beneficiaries).

  • Scatter Plot: Analyze relationships between variables (e.g., aid packages vs. beneficiaries).

  • Box Plot: Summarize data distribution across categories (e.g., aid distribution by region).

  • Heat Map: Visualize data density and patterns (e.g., areas of high need).

  • Tree Map: Show hierarchical data.

  • Gantt Chart: Track project timelines and tasks.

I will show you how to create a chart with ChatGPT

Attach a dataset and write this prompt

The output is below here, ensure to iterate if needed to add a title of your own and subtitle.

Here is the follow up prompt:

Make this the subtitle "7M people are displaced, mainly from South Darfur and the Nile." and ensure the title is on top with H1 titled "Sudan Monthly Displacement Data As Of April 2024."

Thank you for being part of our growing community. Together, we can make data work for humanity!
